DrawingDrawing is a great process that I enjoy when I need to work within simple circumstances. Drawings can be created almost in any environment and without much time or materials. Their simplicity of medium and color if working in charcoal truly allows one to focus on the forms with controlled shading or mark making.
Most of my work is created without an end in mind, it is inspired by what is occurring in the world around me. This does not necessarily mean that the drawings reflect the physical world that I exist within when creating. It is more of a reflection of the layers of history from past, present, and future. |
