Arterialist Design Studio : Art | Architecture | Landscape 8940 N Bradford St. Portland, OR 97203 Experience – I have built my own art and design studio and greenhouse at Green Anchors where I combine art, architecture, and landscape architecture into various functional environments. My focus over the years has been in creating art and making paints with natural minerals that I gather from around the Northwest. I also am combining my knowledge and interests in landscape architecture into various projects that embrace art as a functional aspect of design which is not centered around the purely aesthetic criteria, but instead to create a dynamic form that entices all the senses and engages people through physical interaction. 09-2013-ongoing
Green Anchors : Ecological Restoration | Storm Water Design 8940 N Bradford St. Portland, OR 97203 Experience : I have built my own art and design studio at Green Anchors where I have also helped create a site plan for the seven acres of land to help with storm water management projects for the future through depaving and site ecological restoration with native plants.09/2015-10/2015
Wildcraft Studio School : Natural Mineral Paint Workshops 27 Bates Rd, White Salmon, WA 98672 Experience : I taught a couple of workshops focused on the use of natural minerals as a source of pigment for making paint. The first workshop explored the landscape around Mt Adams where the participants learned how to look for and identify potential minerals. The second workshop focused on the processing of the collected minerals into pigments and their use in making various types of paint with different binders. - 08/2015
Design Build : NE Portland Greenhouse | Outdoor BBQ | Deck Private Residence, Portland, OR Experience: I worked on a residential project designing and building a deck, raised beds, greenhouse, and outdoor bar/bbq structure. The project was build with cedar and reclaimed materials such as glass windows, plastic palettes, and old cedar fence boards. 4/2015-05/2015
End of The Oregon Trail Museum : Welcome Sign 1726 Washington Street, Oregon City, OR 97045 Experience : I was the project manager, designer, and fabricator of a new welcome sign created on behalf of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde for the End of The Oregon Trail. The sign included a design etched in glass and text laser engraved cedar. I prepared a 3d model and the files necessary to create the template for the etched glass and engraved wood. - 12/2014

Village Gardens : Seeds of Harmony Outdoor Kitchen w/ Architecture For Humanity North Portland Community Garden | 8652 N Swift Way, Portland, OR 97203 Experience : Helped design and model an outdoor kitchen with Architecture For Humanity that was built by Oregon Tradeswomen and now is a central component to the community garden. - 01/2014-10/2014
Genentech : Campus Recreational and Restoration Plan 1000 New Horizons Way, Vacaville, CA 95688 Experience : I worked as an independent contractor, landscape/ecological designer, developing a master plan for the potential expansion of the Genentech campus into an adjacent property that would function as a recreational/active space for employees. The design also included constructed wetlands to recycle water back into the natural environment with the hope to reduce the salt content, but also to re-create a natural ecosystem habitat with native plants. - 09/2013-12/2013
Haddad Drugan : Seattle Waterfront Seawall Public Art Installation 1941 1st Ave, Studio 3i, Seattle, Washington 98134 Experience : Created a to scale 3d model of a concrete seawall panel with artistic elements which was used for the fabrication of the mold and are installed along Seattle's new waterfront remodel – 04/2013
Portland Fruit Tree Project : Fruits of Diversity Community Orchard 4375 N Trenton Portland, OR Experience : I have been working as a volunteer project manager for a community orchard where I have helped to design the landscape of the orchard, plant trees & shrubs, remove grass and mulch with wood chips, and install a pathway – 03/2013-Ongoing

Georgia O'Keeffe Museum : Education Center 217 Johnson Street, Santa Fe, NM 87501 Experience : I taught two workshops at the O'Keeffe Museum that were focused on using the mineral clay as a pigment for making paint that inspired the paintings of Georgia O'Keeffe. The first day was spent in the area around Abiquiu collecting minerals and the second day processing the minerals into pigments and making paint. - 05/2010 & 09/2009
Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde : Cultural Education Department 4445 S.W. Barbur Blvd., Portland, OR 97239 Experience : I worked as an art instructor for the Cultural Resource & Education Department at the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde teaching tribal members. My main focus was on reintroducing the use of natural minerals from around Oregon as a source of pigment for making paint, printmaking int, and silkscreens. I also helped to document sources of minerals as well as plant materials that are of cultural importance to the tribe and their numerous forms of art. – 09/2004 – 09/2008

Raymond St, Portland, OR 97206 Experience : I was an artist in residence at Marysville School where I taught art to students and acquired a Confluence Project grant while working with the Marysville Advisory Team to help integrate art into the design of the new playground.
